I can't update the data base unless it is successfully deleted. Can you please put me in touch with them? The other 6 files deleted fine except the last one. I just need someone who knows how the programme works. So I replied, "Sorry? I don't see what email has to do with karaoke? Anyhoooo. Maybe this whole karaoke on computer thing is just a bit over your head." They replied, "You can’t even properly place the message of an email in the right place. I said, "Hi there, Did you receive my email about the app not being able to delete a file? I can't update the data base until that file is deleted as the usb it was on is not being used." I had a problem with a file not deleting so I emailed them. But honestly how many KJs are going to even go this far Now perhaps, there is further fine tuning needed in my VLC conversions. Granted, the skipping and out of sync stuff got better, but Karma's competitors blow it away on MP4 play: no extra work and flawless play of all types. Karma is not good at playing MP4s consistently even after a decent amount of work to meet Karma's specs. If you let the MP4s play in break music continuously, the music gets out of sync again at times. Had another error that threatened "Continue" or "Quit". Still got an error on one of the Hair Band videos from Promo Only but then I was able to play it after all. Way too many blackouts when fading MP4 to MP4. I will be doing more testing and will update.ĭidn't take a lot of testing to have my verdict. It also takes a LONG time to load 500 MP4s in a playlist for testing where Open KJ and Virtual DJ load and play them all quickly and with no issues. If you insert an MP3, then you can play MP4s again. While the videos definitely play better now (so far in testing, there is no skipping), if you try to fade an MP4 in while another MP4 is playing, the screen will go black. Attached photo shows the settings after the conversion for a file. This took a night and morning to learn and do. I converted karaoke MP4s from SBI, PartyTyme and Zoom as well - only had a few. All of my Promo Only break music videos required a codec conversion for the audio (500 videos total). I tried to match VLC settings for conversion to these. Karma's specs for codecs are shown in the attached pic. I found a Youtube video explaining how to use VLC to convert codecs. While I know Karaoke Version brand MP4s will play smoothly out of the gate for Karma, that is not true for much else.
